This Texas whisky was produced in collaboration with the members of the legendary Texas rock band ZZ Top, and is a 4-year-old blend of whiskies made with roasted blue corn, rye, and malted barley. The nose has touches of oak and mesquite, along with roasted corn, honey, subtle spices, and a hint of butterscotch. The taste is Texas spicy with chili powder, black pepper, and mesquite seasoning complemented by touches of honey, cornbread, butterscotch, and a hint of maple. The finish is long and dry with lingering spices and a touch of sweetness. Very nice! (November, 2021)
