Balcones Texas Single Malt

Country: USA

Region: Texas

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 51%

Score: 88 Points

Yes, it’s a Texas single malt from 100% malted barley, but with with a Texas accent. The nose has a touch of toasted mesquite wood, baked pears and apples, caramel, and touches of red pepper and maltiness. The taste is chewy and spicy with chili powder, black pepper, caramel cola, vanilla, and a hint of lemon zest. The finish is long and spicy with notes of black pepper, vanilla, and a hint of brown sugar.
