Balblair 2003 Vintage
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 46%
Score: 92 Points
This Highland single malt was distilled in 2003 and bottled in 2015 after maturing in ex-Bourbon casks. The nose is floral and fruity with notes of rose petals, lilac, honey, orange peel, and a hint of apricot jam. The taste has notes of orange marmalade and black tea with lemon and honey at first, then turns spicy as clove and ginger notes come to the forefront. Overall, good balance and complexity. The finish is long with a good balance of subtle spices and citrus fruits. Excellent! (March, 2017)
