Balblair 1983. Image courtesy Balblair/Inver House. This nose on this vintage Highland single malt is fruity with peaches, red apples, apricots, a hint of allspice, straw, a nice malty touch, and a hint of citrus in the background. The taste is thick and fruity with apples, peaches, apricots, and nice spicy touches of allspice and cinnamon with honey and lemon zest underneath. The finish is long and slightly dry with a fruity touch and a good overall balance. (March, 2017)
