Arran 21st Anniversary Limited Edition. Image courtesy Isle of Arran Distillery. This single malt was released in late 2016 to celebrate Arran’s 21st anniversary, and comes from whiskies distilled during Arran’s first three years of production and matured in ex-Oloroso Sherry casks. The nose is fruity and vibrant with hints of mango, orange marmalade, a hint of apples, and muted spices. The taste is spicy with ground peppercorns, ginger, allspice, honey, and a subtle touch of citrus fruits in the background. The finish is long, warm, and gentle with hints of pepper, ginger root, and a touch of toffee. Nice! (June, 2018)
