Ardbeg’s annual release brings together Oloroso Sherry and ex-Bourbon casks in varying proportions from year to year. The 2024 edition has notes of olive oil, ashes, dark chocolate, ginger, and a hint of spearmint on the nose. The taste is oily, thick, peaty, and peppery with chili powder, pineapple, honey, and spearmint. The finish is long and gently fading with hints of licorice, spearmint, and dark chocolate.
