Ardbeg Traigh Bhan Batch #2 (2020 Release)

Country: Scotland

Region: Islay

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 46.2%

Ardbeg Traigh Bhan Batch No. 2. Image courtesy Ardbeg. This is the second annual release of the 19-year-old Traigh Bhan, and the mix of American Oak and Oloroso Sherry casks has changed this year from 2019’s debut release. The nose is smoky with grilled fruits, heather, black tea and lemon, brine, and a hint of eucalyptus cough drops. The taste is briny, tart, and medicinal with grilled pineapple, peat smoke, pine needles, heather, and a hint of lime zest. The finish is long and slightly tart with a gentle smokiness. Very nice!
