Country: Scotland

Region: Islay

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 46%

Score: 94 Points

The debut release in Ardbeg’s Anthology series is a blend of Ardbeg matured in ex-Bourbon barrels with Ardbeg matured for 13 years in Sauternes wine casks. The nose is dusty with touches of green grapes, a hint of citrus, and a subtle smokiness. The taste starts off fruity and tart with tropical fruits and grilled pineapple, with peat smoke that coms alive slowly leading into the finish, which is nice and long with classic Ardbeg character.
