Tamdhu 2007 Archives. Image courtesy Archives Whisky/Whiskybase. This 10-year-old single cask from the folks at Whiskybase in The Netherlands is part of their “Fishes of Samoa” series, and was finished in a cask supplied by Koval Distillery in Chicago. The nose has notes of honey, dried flowers, straw, vanilla, and a touch of peaches. The taste is fruity with a good spiciness, as apples and peaches dominate the palate with hints of cinnamon and allspice underneath, while touches of vanilla and honey in the background add complexity. The finish is long and well-balanced. Nice! (April, 2019)
