The 2018 release of Angel’s Envy Cask Strength is finished in Port Barrels just like the regular version, but with much more intensity. The nose has sweet notes of caramel candy, honey, and fudge balanced by touches of charred oak and toasted marshmallows. The taste has intensely spicy notes of cinnamon and black pepper with honey, caramel, and a hint of charred oak underneath. Water opens up the sweeter notes while not diminishing the spices, and the finish is long with lingering spices. Very nice! (December, 2018)
