Country: India

Region:

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 50%

Score: 92 Points

This Indian single malt from Amrut’s Ashok Chokalingam spent five years in an ex-Stout cask, and the nose has a nice balance of hoppy character and maltiness, with touches of butterscotch, honey, and burnt sugar. The taste is influenced by the stout beer, with dark cereal notes, barley sugar, coffee grounds, a hint of mint, and caramel candy. The finish is long and minty with a touch of menthol.
