India’s Amrut Distillery filled this unpeated single malt into a Port pipe in April of 2013 and bottled it seven years later in December of 2020. The nose has notes of red grapes, brandy, plums, hints of raisins and black cherries, and a touch of oak tannins. The taste is thick, fruity, and nectar-like with peaches, red grapes, raisins, hints of clove and cinnamon, and a touch of black cherries that comes out as the spices begin to fade. The finish is long and subtle with a touch of black cherries, red grapes, plums, and a hint of oak. Very nice! (March, 2021)
