This whiskey is a collaboration between country music star Brad Paisley and Bardstown Bourbon Company, and the barrels for the debut release went on the road in an 18-wheeler “rolling rickhouse” for more than 7,000 miles during Paisley’s 2019 concert tour. It’s made from a blend of Bourbons between three and 15 years old, and the nose has a nice balance of caramel, vanilla, sweet oak, dried fruits, and a hint of maple syrup. The taste balances fruity sweetness with the spiciness of cinnamon apples, as touches of peaches, apricots, caramel, and oak add complexity. The finish is long with a lingering spicy touch of cinnamon apples and hints of dried fruits in the background. (December, 2021)
