Adelphi Selection Teaninich 12
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Adelphi
ABV: 52.9%
Score: 94 Points
This Adelphi single cask of Teaninich was released in late 2019, and may well be one of the darkest whiskies I’ve ever seen, and while the cask isn’t specified, I’m betting that it was an ex-Sherry butt from the color and the number of bottles (555 released). The nose has notes of toffee, dark fruits, licorice, and a hint of anise. The taste is full of plums, raisins, red grapes, clove, white pepper, and hints of anise and brown sugar. The finish is long, dark, and fruity. Excellent! (May, 2020)
