1792 Aged Twelve Years. Image courtesy Barton 1792/Sazerac. This limited-edition release from Sazerac’s Barton 1792 Distillery has a nose with subtle spices, toasted oak, honey, butterscotch, and caramel notes. The taste has a fruity sweetness with a touch of peaches balanced by good spices, a soft smoky touch of charred oak and hints of butterscotch, cocoa, and honey in the background. The finish is long, smooth, and complex with gently fading spices and a nice sweetness. (July, 2019)
