10th Street Distillery Peated Single Malt. Image courtesy 10th Street Distillery.This year-old single malt from the 1oth Street Distillery in San Jose, California is made with peated malt imported from Scotland. The nose has a gentle peatiness with honey, caramel, and brown sugar notes complemented by a hint of heather, dried flowers, and a touch of tree fruits. The taste has notes of cinnamon apples, caramel, a hint of anise, white pepper, dried flowers, and a nice smokiness. The long finish has touches of anise, dried flowers, and a lingering hint of cinnamon. (August, 2020)
