Jefferson’s Presidential Select Bourbon Reaches “Legal Age”
Jefferson’s Presidential Select, produced by Castle Brands, is releasing a new 21-year-old Bourbon with limited availability starting April 1, 2013. The whiskey comes from an unspecified distillery and casks ranging in age from 21 to 24 years old.
In a news release, Jefferson’s founder and blender Trey Zoeller described the casks as having been left for many years in a cooler part of the warehouse where they were matured, allowing them to mature more slowly while minimizing the impact of the “angel’s share”. The whiskey was bottled at 47% ABV (94 proof)
Approximately 12,000 bottles will be available for sale at a suggested retail price of $119.99 each.
