Heaven Hill Worker Dies in Warehouse Accident
A rickhouse worker died Thursday morning in a fall at Heaven Hill’s main campus in Bardstown, according to the Nelson County Sheriff’s office. The worker was identified as 41-year-old Travis Jury of Bardstown, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader. The official cause of death remains under investigation.
“This morning, we experienced a tragic incident at our Bardstown location that resulted in the death of one of our employees. We are deeply saddened by this loss and extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues affected by this tragedy,” said Heaven Hill chief production officer Josh Anderson in a statement.
Heaven Hill closed its visitor center at the Bardstown facility Thursday following the death. The company is offering grief counseling to employees affected by the accident.
