This is a rarity among bourbons, with part of the maturation coming in port wine casks. The nose is vanilla, red grapes, roasted almonds, raisins, and a touch of sweet oak. The taste is vanilla, red apples, maple syrup, cocoa, and rye bread. The finish is dried apples and bananas, vanilla, sweet and long with a slight red wine tartness.
