This 40th anniversary edition of Nikka From the Barrel takes the world whisky blend and gives it double the vatting time in used oak barrels before bottling. The nose has touches of chocolate-covered orange slices, tropical fruits, and hints of malt and vanilla. The taste has a nice balance of cinnamon, tropical fruits, and charred oak, while the finish is long and oaky with a slight touch of bitter herbs. Excellent! (January, 2026)
