Bomberger’s PFG

Bomberger's PFG Bourbon. Image courtesy Michter's.

Country: USA

Region: Kentucky

Type: Bourbon

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 50.1%

Score: 94 Points

This Bourbon from Michter’s takes mature whiskey and then finishes it in specially toasted French Oak casks (the PFG stands for Precision Fine Grain). The nose has toasted oak, red apples, subtle spices, and fresh berries. The taste has notes of raspberry jam, cinnamon, clove, chocolate, red apples, caramel, and vanilla. The finish is long with touches of wood spices, raspberry jam, and chocolate. Excellent! (March, 2025)
