This is the 2023 release in Blackened’s Masters of Whiskey series, and is a collaboration with Rabbit Hole founder Kaveh Zamanian. It takes a 13-year-old Tennessee straight Bourbon, blends it with Rabbit Hole’s Heigold Bourbon, and then subjects the whiskey to Blackened’s sonic infusion process where it’s blasted with Metallica’s music. Finally, a Calvados cask finish completes the whiskey, which has a nose of fresh apples, peaches, pears, dried flowers, and a hint of brown sugar with an herbal touch. The taste has notes of Calvados, white pepper, clove, anise, peaches, pears, and honey. The finish is long and herbal with a hint of spice. (December, 2024)
