This is the oldest Maker’s Mark release yet, with whiskies aged 13 and 14 years old in the final blend. The nose has touches of cherries, oak tannins, caramel, subtle spices, and a hint of chocolate malt. The taste is oaky and tannic with cinnamon and wood spices, cherries, and honey. Water adds a note of chocolate on the palate. The finish is long, oaky, and spicy. (September, 2024)
