Country: Scotland

Region: Islay

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 50%

Score: 92 Points

This Islay classic comes from barley grown near the Kilchoman distillery, and has a gentle peat smokiness on the nose along with heather, honey, dried flowers, and a hint of brine. The taste has a slow onset of pepper and peat smoke balanced by honey, lemon zest, dried fruits, and a touch of sea salt. The finish is long with a subtle smokiness. Excellent! (September, 2024)
