In Sanskrit, “dru” means a vessel made out of wood, such as the ex-Bourbon casks this whisky was matured in. The nose has touches of caramel candy, vanilla beans, nutmeg, cinnamon, and orange peel. The taste is spicy with cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice notes balanced by orange peel, apricots, and peaches. The finish is long and spicy with tree fruits in the background. (September, 2024)
