This Bourbon from Washington state’s Woodinville Whiskey was matured in unique heavily toasted and lightly charred casks, and the nose has touches of toasted oak, caramel, leather, tobacco, dark chocolate, honey, and a hint of mint. The taste has a nice balance of cinnamon, brown sugar, caramel candy, and red apples. Adding a few drops of water opens up notes of dark chocolate and vanilla. The finish is long with cinnamon spice and brown sugar sweetness. (August, 2024)
