Country: Scotland

Region: Speyside

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 43%

Score: 94 Points

This new take on The Glenrothes 18 continues the distillery’s policy of maturing in sherry-seasoned casks, and master whisky maker Gordon Motion has created a whisky with a nose of ginger snap cookies, pear candies, a hint of dates, vanilla, and honey. The taste is sweet with a subtle burst of spice as vanilla and ginger complement a hint of white pepper on top of pears, dates, and honey. The finish is long and mouth-coating with lingering ginger spice and vanilla. Excellent! (July, 2024)
