This single malt Irish whiskey started out in ex-Bourbon barrels, then was finished in French Limousin Oak casks. The nose has touches of butterscotch, dried flowers, oak tannins, and a hint of honey. The taste has an excellent balance of butterscotch sweetness and white pepper spiciness with hints of allspice and honey. The finish has a lingering spiciness. (January, 2024)
