Pineau des Charentes is a fortified French wine, and its influence is strong in this vintage single malt. The nose has touches of apricots, plums, ripe cherries, dried flowers, green grapes, and a slight mustiness. The taste has fruity notes of pineapple and apricots balanced by almond oil and a hint of clove in the background. The finish is long and dry with lingering touches of spices and citrus fruits.
