Talisker Glacial Edge

Country: Scotland

Region: Highlands

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 49.8%

Score: 95 Points

This 45-year-old whisky is the final installment in Talisker’s Xpedition Series, and was finished in ice-fractured casks exposed to the cold of a British Columbia glacier. The nose has touches of caramel candy, toffee, a hint of brine, dried fruits, and hints of smoke and sandalwood. The taste is peppery with black peppercorns, sea salt, chili powder, and a kiss of smoke. The finish is very long, briny, and smoky with a lingering touch of chili powder. Excellent! (December, 2023)
