The complexity of this Midleton Very Rare release is amazing. Barry Crockett created a whiskey with multiple layers on the nose. There are touches of brown sugar, green apples, vanilla, charred oak, milk chocolate, and fudge. The taste is equally complex…soft and sweet with ripe tree fruits followed by a burst of pot still spices, charred oak, and a hint of barley sugar. The finish is long and smooth. An outstanding dram!
