This heavily peated island blended malt has an unusual name (pronounced “castle camus”), and is finished in Oloroso Sherry casks. The nose is peaty and phenolic with touches of grilled peaches, honey, and toasted vanilla. The taste is thick and oily with peat smoke and creosote balanced by notes of grilled peaches, honey, toasted vanilla, and a hint of figs. The finish has lingering peat smoke and touches of figs and grilled citrus. (September, 2023)
