This 2018 release was available to members of Highland Park’s Inner Circle and was part of the distillery’s Keystones Series. It was matured for 13 years in 3 first-fill Sherry-seasoned casks, and the nose has hints of toffee, toasted caramel, vanilla, sandalwood, and a hint of burning leaves. The taste has a good balance between sweetness and spices with brown sugar, clove, a hint of chili powder, and a nice touch of peat smoke. The finish is long and well-balanced between sweetness, spice, and smoke. (February, 2021)
