This Rye whiskey was finished for almost 2 years in Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks, and is an exclusive available at the Sagamore Spirit Distillery in Baltimore, Maryland. The nose has notes of brown sugar, maple syrup, dried fruits, and honeycomb. The taste starts off fruity at first with a nice touch of black cherries, followed by a gentle burst of baking spices balanced by honey and brown sugar. The finish lingers nicely with touches of dried fruits and subtle spices. (January, 2021)
