Filibuster Single Barrel Bourbon
Country: USA
Region: Virginia
Type: Bourbon
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 57.3%
Score: 90 Points
This Virginia Bourbon is aged for at least two years (my sample was two years and four months), and the strength will vary from barrel to barrel. The nose has notes of honey, vanilla, tobacco, and touches of leather and toasted oak. The taste has a black pepper spiciness balanced by caramel and honey with touches of vanilla, baked apples, and tobacco in the background. The finish is long with lingering spices and a nice oakiness. (January, 2021)
