Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Tasters’ Selection Jamaican Allspice
Country: USA
Region: Tennessee
Type: Tennessee Whiskey
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 50%
Score: 90 Points
This release in the Tennessee-only series was the final release under Jeff Arnett’s leadership as master distiller, and is finished in toasted Jamaican Allspice wood, and the nose has notes of barbecue sauce and liquid smoke along with honey, cherry pipe tobacco, and subtle spices. That subtlety disappears on the palate, though, with clove and chili powder taking the lead along with tangy barbecue sauce, honey, molasses, and a soft smokiness. The finish is long and spicy.
