Stranahan’s Mountain Angel
Country: USA
Region: Colorado
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 47.3%
Score: 93 Points
This is the oldest Stranahan’s single malt release yet at ten years old and matured in new charred (#3 level) American Oak barrels. The nose is oaky with wet leather, a touch of caramel apples, cherry pipe tobacco, and a hint of cocoa beans. The taste is thick and rich with subtle spices, dark chocolate, molasses cookies, and oak. The finish is long and woody with touches of molasses, dark chocolate, and a hint of chocolate mint leaves. Very nice. (October, 2020)
