Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond Fall 2020 Edition
Country: USA
Region: Kentucky
Type: Bourbon
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 50%
Score: 94 Points
The Fall 2020 edition of Old Fitzgerald comes from barrels filled in the fall season of 2005, making it the first 14-year-old Bourbon in the series. The nose is well-balanced with caramel candy sweetness, oak sawdust, pipe tobacco, honey, and touches of apples and apricots. The taste has a bite of black cherries along with honey at first, followed by black pepper and allspice notes that provide a nice complex burst before settling down to a nice balance with honey and pipe tobacco in the background. The finish is long with hints of spices and oak balanced by black cherries, honey, and caramel. Excellent! (September, 2020)
