This Bourbon uses fully-matured Elijah Craig Small Batch, but then finishes it in specially toasted barrels that have been “flash-charred” to allow it to keep the “Straight Bourbon” designation. The nose has notes of toasted bread, honey, brown sugar, dark chocolate, and vanilla. The taste has a good spiciness balanced by soft oak and sweeter notes of honey, vanilla, caramel candy, and dark chocolate. The finish is long and smooth with lingering spices and dark chocolate.
