Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond Spring 2020 Edition
Country: USA
Region: Kentucky
Type: Bourbon
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 50%
Score: 93 Points
This 9-year-old Bottled in Bond Bourbon was distilled in March of 2011, and of course, bottled at 50% ABV. The nose has notes of caramel candy, honey, cocoa beans, tobacco, vanilla, and a soft oakiness. The taste is thick, chewy, and spicy with black pepper and cinnamon that fade slowly to reveal honey, dark chocolate, and caramel along with just a hint of oak. The finish is long with lingering spices balanced by sweeter notes of honey and caramel. Excellent! (July, 2020)
