This Bourbon comes from family-owned Ironclad Distillery in Newport News, Virginia, and the nose has notes of brown sugar, tobacco, leather, and charred oak. The taste has a nice balance of anise, black pepper, and a hint of clove along with touches of salted caramel, tobacco, and oak tannins. The finish is medium-length with touches of spice, oak tannins, and tobacco. (May, 2020)
