Glenmorangie The Cadboll Estate
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 43%
Score: 92 Points
This 15-year-old single malt comes from barley grown on the Cadboll Estate adjacent to Glenmorangie’s distillery in the Highlands, and was matured for 15 years in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels. Don’t confuse this one with Glenmorangie’s Cadboll travel retail exclusive finished in French wine casks, though. The nose has a nutty character and touches of shortbread cookies, lemon zest, orange peel, and hints of dried flowers. The taste is sweet and luscious with honey, chocolate, tree fruits, and a hint of menthol cough lozenges. The finish is long, sweet, and fruity with a hint of oak. (March, 2020)
