Wolfburn Langskip
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 58%
Score: 92 Points
This cask-strength single malt is matured exclusively in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels for between five and seven years, and while it carries no age statement, it is said to be the oldest Wolfburn single malt bottled so far. The nose is malty with dried flowers, honey, tree fruits, vanilla, and caramel candy. The taste is spicy and complex with notes of white pepper, clove, a hint of cinnamon, barley sugar, and honey. The finish is long and well-balanced with a hint of citrus. (January, 2020)
