This 14-year-old Bourbon is a blend of straight Bourbons from Indiana and Tennessee blended at Widow Jane in Brooklyn, New York and finished in some very rare casks made from staves seasoned for 8 years before being coopered. The nose is oaky with notes of leather, tobacco, molasses, brown sugar, and roasted cocoa beans. The taste has touches of caramel, cherry cola, vanilla, clove, and black pepper with hints of molasses and dark chocolate in the background. The finish is long and subtle with a hint of black cherries and lingering traces of spices and oak. Excellent! (January, 2020)
