Wild Turkey Master Distiller Eddie Russell’s latest edition in his Master’s Keep series uses rye whiskies ranging from 9 to 11 years old. The nose is spicy with notes of toasted rye bread, baking spices, honey, caramel apples, and vanilla. The taste is spicy and intense with black pepper, clove, and cinnamon in good balance with honey, toasted vanilla, caramel apples, and a hint of honey. The finish is long with slowly fading spices and touches of honey and caramel. Excellent! (September, 2019)
