Michter’s 10 Year Old Rye 2019 Edition
Country: USA
Region: Kentucky
Type: Rye Whiskey
Bottler: Michter's Distillery LLC
ABV: 46.4%
Score: 90 Points
This is the first release for Michter’s master distiller Dan McKee after he took over for Pam Heilmann following her retirement in the spring of 2019. The nose is complex with classic rye spices, charred oak, cocoa, tobacco, leather, and a hint of caramel. The taste is spicy with notes of clove, black pepper, and allspice balanced by licorice, brown sugar, caramel, and cocoa. The finish is long and smooth with a touch of licorice. (June, 2019)
