The Balvenie Sweet Toast of American Oak
Country: Scotland
Region: Speyside
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 43%
Score: 93 Points
This is part of The Balvenie’s 2019 “Stories” range and was created by Apprentice Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie using twice-charred American Oak barrels. The nose is fruity and sweet with hints of orange tea, clover honey, brown sugar, and hints of chocolate and charred oak. The taste has notes of orange tea, honey, hints of cinnamon and clove spices, and brown sugar with a great balance and complexity. The finish is long with orange peel, honey, and lingering spices. Nice! (June, 2019)
