This bottling is exclusive to The Whisky Exchange, and was finished at WhistlePig Farm in Vermont using South American Amburana casks normally used for cachaça as one of the late Dave Pickerell’s experiments. The nose has notes of coconut, pine sap, freshly-cut grass clippings, cherries, and a touch of mint. The taste starts off with coconut cream pie, chocolate mint, hints of cinnamon and ginger, and touches of grass and brown sugar. The finish is long and subtle with hints of coconut, hot cocoa, and dried fruits. A very creative experiment! (May, 2019)
