Jameson Bow Street 18 Years Cask Strength Batch #2
Country: Ireland
Region:
Type: Irish Whiskey
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 55.1%
Score: 93 Points
Just as with the first batch released in 2018, this whiskey spent its final year of maturation in the Jameson Distillery Bow Street mini-warehouse. The nose has a good oakiness with notes of ginger, vanilla, honey, a touch of allspice, lime zest, and a hint of chocolate that builds up with time in the glass. That chocolate touch becomes even more apparent on the palate, along with a nice honey sweetness balanced well by allspice, white pepper, and ginger with just a hint of charred oak in the background. The finish has long, lingering spices with hints of chocolate and honey. Excellent! (May, 2019)
