Ardbeg Drum Committee Edition
Country: Scotland
Region: Islay
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 52%
Score: 92 Points
This is the Ardbeg Committee release of Drum, which will be followed on June 1 by the regular release. They’re both finished in Caribbean Rum casks, and the only difference will be in the bottling strength. The nose has a sweet smokiness with touches of barbecue sauce, ginger, pineapple, and a hint of brine. The taste is smoky and tart with lime, lemon, grilled pineapple, and sweet barbecue smoke that fades to reveal hints of brine and dried flowers. The finish is long and tart with a hint of smoke.
